The Snowman Race

Back in October 2022 I had a bonafide once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Bhutan and take part in The Snowman Race—”The Ultimate Race for Climate Action”. This unique event was the idea of His Majesty the King of Bhutan, and was put on with the full backing of the Bhutanese government. The event was a 5-day stage race across the Himalaya Mountains with the goal of raising global awareness of how climate change is affecting the high Himalaya. With 130 miles of running and altitudes up to 18,000 feet it was as wild and remote as it gets. I have struggled to put this experience into words, but fortunately Kris Hampton at Plugtone Outdoors attended a talk I gave about the Snowman Race and wanted to adapt that into a podcast. So have a listen and enjoy! And of course check out a few photos below from the trip. Thank so much!
